Essential Diagnostics [EDX] is the top leader in providing
MOBILE COMPUTERIZED RANGE OF MOTION (ROM) & MUSCLE TESTING
in accordance to the AMA Guides to Evaluation of Permanent Impairment,
5th Edition Protocol.
We are excited to welcome you to the best available mobile Range of Motion testing program that provides you with more accurate and objective documentation essential in orthopedic evaluations. All with absolutely no hassle or any expense for the referring physician.
Top Three Reasons Why Physicians Utilize Computerized Range of Motion (ROM) & Muscle Testing on Their Patients:
To fulfill American Medical Association (AMA) Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 5th Edition protocol. Per AMA guidelines, inclinometer is the preferred device for obtaining accurate, reproducible measurements. The Guides also state that when measuring spinal ROM, you have to use a dual inclinometer device, and you need to repeat the measurements at least three to six times per side.
To be valid, three of six consecutive measurements must lie within 5 degrees or 10% of the mean, whichever is greater. If after six measurements inconsistency persists, the ROM measurements are not valid & the accompanying impairments can be disallowed! (Reference: AMA Guides to Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 5th Ed. Chapter 15, Pages 399, 400 & 408).
To accurately monitor amount of objective progress their patient has experienced as a result of treatment, and verify the patient's level of functional restoration.
To get more accurate test results, which translates into better patient evaluations, diagnosis and treatment planning. Recent medical research has proven that inclinometers and computerized apparatus used in strength testing are more accurate and precise than the conventional manual testing or "eyeballing" technique.
